STATE OF MATTER ?

Matter is classify in two type:

Elements is the simplest form of matter which can not be changed further by chemical or physical methods. An ATOM is the simplest form of an element, some elements is a MOLECULE.

Compound contain two or more different elements in a chemically combined form. The simplest form of a compound is a molecule.Those molecules that consist of charged ions with opposite charges are called IONIC. The other type of molecules are called COVALENT and do not consist of ions.

DIFFUSION

Tak susah pun topik ni...tapi ramai students misconcept / cuai / confused (keliru) ... lebih teruk lagi tak paham soalan untuk jawab soalan tentang part ni.

Konsep Asas - kita kena paham konsep "pergerakan zarah"(particles movement) dan "ruang"(space).

What is Diffusion ? [ Apa itu proses resapan]

Situation I
Pada waktu tengahari sedang anda melayan facebook di bilik bacaan. Anda terhidu sesuatu bau di bilik anda.. Berbau wangi, sedap menusuk hidung sehingga berbunyi perut anda kerana lapar. Bau tersebut datangnya dari dapur, bau masakan kari kepala ikan...Mak yang masak.

Adakah anda sedari proses resapan (diffusion process) berlaku dalam situasi di atas?

" Bau masakan kari di dapur merebak hingga ke bilik bacaan"
"The smell of curry cooking in the kitchen spreads to the study room"



Smell travel in the air by diffusion process. Molecules move randomly and freely in the air. Remember, molecules always moving, some molecules leave the curry as it is cooking. Molecules released when curry heated over.

These tiny molecules of curry travel through the air throughout the house-study room to our noses. If the wind is blowing, there will be more mixing of the molecules in the air, and molecules of curry can travel farther apart to other places. The molecules move randomly "from concentrated area(region) to less concentrated area(region)".

REMEMBER : Molecules* move randomly/freely from high concentrated region to low concentrated region.
* Air molecules

INGATLAH : Molekul bergerak secara rawak dan bebas dari kawasan berkepekatan tinggi ke kawasan berkepekatan rendah.

ZARAH DALAM ATOM (SUBATOM)

Subparticles of atom (Subatomic particles)



  1. Ordinary matter consists of atoms bound together by electromagnetic force to form molecules. These molecules come together to form solids, liquids and gasses.
  2. Atoms consist of a dense nucleus surrounded by a cloud of electrons. Electromagnetic force holds the nucleus and electrons together.
  3. The nucleus consists of protons and neutrons held together by a powerful nuclear force.
  4. Protons and neutrons consist of three quarks each and are held together by powerful nuclear force.

SECARA UMUM
Atom terdiri daripada 3 subatom yang "terkenal" dan dikenali sebagai proton, neutron dan elektron.
Atom is made up from three subparticles that is protons, neutrons and electrons.

PROTON


The proton is a subatomic particle with an electric charge of +1 elementary charge. It is found in the nucleus of each atom, along with neutrons, but is also stable by itself and has a second identity as the hydrogen ion, H+. It is composed of three fundamental particles: two up quarks and one down quark


ELECTRON
The electron is a fundamental subatomic particle that carries a negative electric charge. Together with atomic nuclei, which consist of protons and neutrons, electrons make up atoms. Electron move around atomic nuclei. Their interaction with adjacent nuclei is the main cause of chemical bonding.


NEUTRON

The neutron is a subatomic particle with no net electric charge and a mass slightly larger than that of a proton. Neutrons are usually found in atomic nuclei. It is composed of three fundamental particles: one up quarks and two down quark.

Know the atomic

Senang jek nak kenali atom ni. Mula-mula kenal dulu apa dia atom.

APA ITU ATOM ? 
What is atom?



Atom adalah satu zarah (particle) paling kecil dari suatu unsur (element) kimia yang tidak boleh dibahagikan lagi dan mempunyai sifat kimia tersendiri.
Atom : the smallest particle of a chemical element that retains its chemical properties




Faham ker? Confuse?
Atom ni 'suatu benda' berbentuk seperti bola kecil tetapi tidak boleh dilihat dengan mata kasar. (Suatu benda = zarah).

Saiznya hampir tidak boleh diukur. Lihat sebelah. Panjang bar hitam adalah satu Angstrom (cuba tanya Cikgu Fizik ker, Matematik ker camne saiz 1 Angstrom ni)
1 Angstom = 10 x -10 meter  ......



 



Wah kecil nya.....(Buat riak wajah terkejut)......
